St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a Full Time, Probationary, Health Recovery Facilitator – LPN for a work assignment with Student Services.

Hours of Work : 31.25 hrs. /week; 6.25 hrs. /day; Monday-Friday; Full Time Probationary
Hourly Rate: $35.97 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement
Specific Needs/Requirements for this position:
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Completion of Pediatric Course through AHS Homecare preferred
- Ability to perform tracheal suction and ongoing respiratory assessment preferred
- Experience and knowledge in supporting students with a seizure disorder an asset
- Comfortable and experienced in using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems
- Ability to support assistive technology usage an asset
- Experience using visual aids an asset
- Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team an asset
- Assist student with g-tube feeding and medication administration, toileting and physical tasks (lifting and transferring) an asset
- Experience working with elementary students with various diverse needs an asset
- Knowledge and experience administering medication to children preferred
- Experience with use of oxygen tank and concentrator an asset
- Experience working with children who have Diabetes; measuring and administering Insulin is preferred
- Previous experience working with students with complex medical and cognitive disorders an asset
- Experience working in pediatrics is ideal
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in pediatric settings
