Role description:

Profitably grow sales of the Mobility Business Area in Canada.

The Mobility Sales Director reports directly to the GBA Sales Director with a dotted line to the BA Director. The current sector and account teams will be distributed among the three GBAs and report to one of the three BA Sales Directors.

Role accountabilities:

Lead BA Sales:

  • Ultimate accountability of sectors and accounts hosted in BA.
  • Manage sales pipeline, priority setting, and reporting in alignment with the global reporting standard.
  • Manage people (incl. performance reviewing).
  • Lead BA sales within the country to profitably grow the order book.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of sales & account growth strategies for BA.
  • Stress-test BA growth plans when all put together from a country perspective (reactive).
  • Translate market trends (within and across the BAs) into client actions.

Develop sales excellence:

  • Develop and nurture a talent pool of salespeople.
  • Implement sales excellence processes and approach, including account plan reviews, performance assessment, and PSET, utilizing harmonized processes developed by the global growth team.
  • Share best practices in sales and account management with the wider sales community to allow others to learn and benefit.
  • Improve to balance the cost of sales with results.

Act as a role model:

  • Ensure active participation in company-wide programs, e.g., executive sponsor program, marketing campaigns, client experience survey, and key account program
  • Fully support global key account pursuits within the BA and prioritize resourcing of key accounts.
  • Ensure smooth and structural collaboration with other BA Sales Directors, City Executives, the sector, and account teams of other BAs.
  • Stimulate cross-selling with other BAs through all appropriate sectors and account teams.

Key Shared Responsibilities:

  • Together with the GBA Sales Director, the BA Director, and the Country Sales Director to determine and deliver the BA growth strategy for the country.
  • Coordinate with Country Sales Director to capture cross-GBA opportunities, to develop and implement integrated country-specific propositions, and for a country-specific Go-to-Market approach. Work with the BA Director and the Country Sales Director in the development of sales strategies.
  • Work with the Commercial Excellence Officer to develop and implement new business models, apply new commercial skills and processes, and implement learning and development programs.
  • Work with marketing to develop and implement marketing strategy (campaigns, events) for the BA in the country.
  • Work with HR for the recruitment of Account Managers for BA key clients.

Qualifications & Experience:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in market-to-opportunity processes, pursuit-to-win strategies, and account/client management within a multinational engineering or professional services firm.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing sales strategies to profitably grow client accounts.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a senior sales leader with a strong presence and network in the business area (BA) market within the country.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and drive pursuit and account teams to achieve business growth targets.
  • Strong expertise in business development activities, including strategic planning, account management, and pursuit execution within the professional services or engineering sector.
  • Familiarity with commercial operations and decision-making processes, with a focus on driving revenue and profitability.

The salary range for this position is CAD 157,150 to 224,500. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.
