About The Position

RWDI is seeking applicants for the position of Leader for our Ambient Air Monitoring team in the Americas Business Unit.

The Leader will report to the Technical Manager and will work collaboratively with the Practice Area Leader, Project Managers and Project Delivery Managers to facilitate the success of the business, engagement and growth of staff.

The Primary Responsibilities Of The Leader Are As Follows

  • Manage forward-looking operational strategic needs including the annual financial planning process and quarterly reviews of projected operational needs.
  • Performance management for team members including managing career objectives, competencies, and scorecards.
  • Ensure technical quality standards established by the PAL are met including participating in quarterly reviews of QMP compliance.
  • Support team performance by collaboratively developing and evolving effective systems and documented work processes.
  • Coordinate team assignments and balance workloads in the team.
  • Execute current operational processes including timesheet & expense approval, manage team expense budgets.
  • Facilitate training initiatives and support technical development in collaboration with senior team staff and PAL.
  • Lead recruitment and support HR processes and resolve issues (personnel and resourcing to meet business targets)
  • Monitor and provide necessary training in the areas of safety, operational systems, and processes.
  • Change management leadership – support team adaption to changes in the business (internal and external).
  • Coordinating with regulators and clients to achieve project goals.
  • Writing of technical reports.
  • Assisting Project Managers with scoping and pricing projects


We Are Accepting Applications From Candidates Who Have

  • Minimum of 10 years working in ambient air monitoring teams.
  • Experience leading or supervising a team of technical staff is preferred.
  • Proven ability to promote a positive team environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with key stakeholders while at the same time managing conflicting priorities and business interests.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use of good judgment in stressful situations.
