Carleton University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in the field of biomedical image processing, with a focus on preclinical fMRI data. The successful candidate will join Dr. Chris Joslin’s research group for an initial 6-month term.

Requirements

– PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related discipline (with emphasis on biomedical imaging)

– Extensive experience in biomedical image processing, particularly in preprocessing pipelines for preclinical fMRI data

– Proficiency in handling 4D fMRI datasets and standard preprocessing techniques such as motion correction, skull stripping, and registration

– Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with neuroimaging libraries/tools such as NiBabel, Nilearn, FSL, and ANTs

– Experience with deep learning methods (e.g., GANs, Transformers) applied to 3D medical data is highly desirable

– Familiarity with GPU-based computing and experience in collaborative research settings is an asset
