Description
A day in the life as an Assistant Branch Manager:
- You will take the lead in the branch to grow Westoba’s book of business by building strong business relationships, gaining wallet share and demonstrating your expertise on all things deposit, lending and wealth management
- You will empower and engage our people through effective sales and service coaching, honest and constructive feedback and an open-door policy
- Develop performance standards to build a team of qualified, professional, and capable employees through training, coaching, and mentoring
- Experienced in business development and member retention; lead the branch in growing Westoba’s book of business by building strong relationships, increasing wallet share, and showcasing expertise in deposits, lending, and wealth management.
- Expertise in GL accounting, cash handling, and lending operations
- Ensure effective audit and risk management functions for the branch
- Lead the member services team with hiring, training and employee management requirements in conjunction with the Human Resources team and Branch Manager
- Assist the Branch Manager with providing leadership and coaching to branch/region member services team members through strong communication and team-building skills; ensure corporate initiatives are understood and executed at the branch level
- Assist the Branch Manager with leading huddles as required
- Post-secondary education, such as a Business Administration certificate, is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Member Experience, assisting members with cash transactions, advice, and customer/member service-related experience is expected

- Leads training & development for new Member Service Representatives
