What will your typical day look like?
As a Manager, you will build long term relationships with senior executive clients (i.e., C-suite, EVP, SVP level) across the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector (e.g. ministries, agencies, operators, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, health insurance, wellness, digital health).
You will help shape the future of healthcare and life sciences in Canada, solving complex problems that directly improve patient outcomes, health system performance, and industry innovation.
You will also identify and lead business development opportunities; assume overall leadership in the delivery of projects, supported by a core team of Consultants; leverage your expertise and curiosity about emerging trends, digital innovations, and transformative business practices shaping the future of healthcare and life sciences.; contribute to the growth and development of the Strategy & Business Design practice; create a learning environment through leadership, participating in the development and delivery of industry training programs; and must be legally able to work in Canada - the ability to enter the USA and Chile to work on client assignments is also an asset.
About The Team
Managers are leaders within the Strategy & Business Design practice (Monitor Deloitte) of Deloitte Strategy Risk & Transactions business, principally responsible for business development and overall project delivery leadership.
A Manager possesses deep health and life sciences sector knowledge and consulting skills depth such that they are viewed both internally and externally as “subject matter experts” in their respective fields. Additionally, managers play an internal role in firm management, supporting practice-building initiatives and actively contributing to the practice’s distinct culture as organizational role models.

Education & Experience:
The salary range for this position is $101,000 - $169,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program. Deloitte is fair and competitive when it comes to the salaries of our people. We regularly benchmark across a variety of positions, industries, sectors, targets, and levels. Education & Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree (health sciences, life sciences, business, economics, or related disciplines preferred) or equivalent professional experience in the healthcare and life sciences sectors
- An MBA or relevant master’s degree combined with experience or a background in healthcare and life sciences is considered a strong asset
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in strategic roles within healthcare, life sciences, or adjacent sectors (e.g., care delivery, wellness, pharmaceuticals, health insurance)
- Proven experience leading teams, managing client relationships, and delivering complex strategic projects
- Fluency in English is essential; bilingual proficiency (English/French) is an asset
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Proven expertise in business development and strategic client engagement.
- Experience or interest in emerging healthcare innovations, including digital health, AI, and advanced analytics
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing and advising senior stakeholders
- Strong project management abilities, financial acumen, and problem-solving creativity
- Passionate about creating positive impact within healthcare and life sciences sectors
- Commitment to excellence, continuous learning, and active community engagement
- Comfortable with digital health innovations and health technology trends (e.g., virtual care, AI-driven diagnostics, personalized medicine)
- Analytical & Quantitative Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, build business cases and make data-driven decisions
- Strategic Thinking: Strong capability to think strategically and develop long-term plans.
- Project Management: Proficiency in managing multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and financial forecasting
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to ambiguous challenges
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively

- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with strategy tools and frameworks
- Industry Expertise: Strong working background and expertise in the Health and Life Sciences sector (or relevant adjacencies)
