As a Drill Bits Application Engineer, you will ensure flawless execution, on-time delivery and contract adherence. You will ensure that Baker Hughes maximizes its short and long term revenue and profit opportunities. You will coordinate job activities to ensure execution in line with customer expectations and contract terms and conditions.
As a Drill Bits Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Protecting the health and safety of our personnel and the environment.
- Conducting all activities in line with our non-negotiables, applicable processes and cultural pillars
- Ensuring the assigned contracts/quotes are fully understood and capitalized upon
- Acting as primary contact for client for job preparation, execution and close out
- Being responsible for scheduling and dispatching of resources in line with job requirements
- Grow revenue by delivering drilling insights through detailed applications analysis and product development
- Create custom designs, new product pipeline, drilling optimization program is created after detailed multi-well analysis to identify non-productive time (NPT).
- Recommended operating parameters intended to increase drilling efficiency to drill further and faster.
- Custom drill bit designs undergo hydraulics optimization, fine-tuning for steerability and efficiency enhancements to increase penetration rates.
- Responsive resolution to customer complaints and incidents is critical for business continuity and prevent loss of revenue.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a relevant Bachelor's degree and several years relevant experience
- Demonstrate significant and relevant experience in Drill Bits
- Show solid experience with drill bits and directional drilling
- Be responsible to present projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders
