We are looking for a Senior Database Developer to join our AIA team. You will be responsible to design stable, robust, and reliable database objects, and processes, to effectively manage large amounts of information. You will be responsible for developing, testing, improving, and maintaining existing databases to help users retrieve data effectively. You will also collaborate with administrators and clients to provide technical support and identify new requirements.

In This Role, You Will

  • Design stable, reliable and effective database objects, and processes.
  • Optimize and maintain legacy systems.
  • Modify and perform tests on database objects, and processes according to requests.
  • Solve database usage issues and malfunctions.
  • Identify new features based on user requirements.
  • Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements.
  • Research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols.
  • Develop technical and training manuals.
  • Provide data management support to users.

What You’ll Need To Succeed (required Skills)

  • 5-10 years of proven work experience as a Database developer.
  • 5+ years Engineering of Enterprise grade Database systems such as SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, or DB2.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL.
  • Finetuning Complex Queries.
  • Designing tables.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of DBA concepts as mentioned below but not limited to:
  • Permissions
  • Partitioning
  • Archiving / Backups
  • Routine Housekeeping
  • Recovery
  • Security
  • Monitoring

Nice To Have

  • Knowledge of MS SQL Server Services is a plus.
  • Experience with Open-source Databases such as MySQL etc., In-memory caches, Key-Value Databases and Graph Databases.
  • Certificate in Database Development is strongly advantageous.
  • Cloud Database knowledge of platforms like Azure, Nutanix, Kubernetes, Docker, or Openshift.
