A Day In The Life
Fasken’s Marketing and Business Development team has an immediate opening for an exceptional professional to work out of our Vancouver office. This position provides direct support to Fasken’s lawyers and will combine strategic account management (SAM), responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and marketing and business development (MBD) assistance.

Compensation
The typical salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.

A Day In The Life
Fasken’s Marketing and Business Development team has an immediate opening for an exceptional professional to work out of our Vancouver office. This position provides direct support to Fasken’s lawyers and will combine strategic account management (SAM), responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and marketing and business development (MBD) assistance.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Marketing and Business Development support
- Identify new business and marketing opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them
- Plan and support the execution of next level events, sponsorships, seminars, to foster client engagement and firm visibility (some travel and working outside of normal business hours may be required)
- Collaborate with graphic designers to conceptualize, produce and collate promotional material
- Coordinate and draft regional (legal directory) ranking submissions and award nominations
- Update firm brochures, fact sheets, and bios to support marketing and business development initiatives
- Assist with the preparation of high-quality RFP responses and presentations, preparing electronic or hardcopies of these documents for delivery and distribution
- Coordinate with Industry and Practice Groups (IPGs) to gather relevant information, create impactful narratives, and ensure timely submission of proposals
- Track and analyze RFP outcomes to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with business development team members, key stakeholders and client managers to develop and implement strategic account plans for clients
- Assist with the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities and targets - this will include development of qualified prospect lists for certain marketing/client development initiatives
- Prepare and deliver marketing research reports leveraging firm-wide research tools and library resources
- Monitor and record SAM performance and progress
- Build knowledge of industry and practice groups (lawyers and industry group expertise)
- Build knowledge of Fasken’s legal service
- Build knowledge of BC Top client base
- 5-7 years of experience in a marketing and business development role in professional services. Strong preference for candidates with legal or other professional services-related firm experience
- An undergraduate degree in Marketing and/or Business and/or completion of a two-year Marketing diploma program
- Previous event experience an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with Interaction or other CRM tools a plus
- Bilingualism- the ability to speak French, Mandarin, Cantonese or other languages will be an asset
- This role reports to the Senior Director, Business Development and Marketing and the Senior Manager, Business Development and Marketing
