The Position

National Business Manager, Costco

Overview

As National Business Manager, you will be responsible for the management and execution of business strategies with Costco Canada to deliver Church & Dwight Canada’s category and brand objectives, while achieving customer revenue & profit targets as assigned. You will directly lead Church & Dwight’s Costco Canada relationship and collaborate cross functionally on the future strategic direction with this customer, including new product development, key negotiations, revenue growth, and everyday business plans. You will additionally partner internally and externally as required on strategic development initiatives, including with the international team.

This Role Will Be Responsible To Do The Following

  • Develop and implement annual business plans to achieve sales, share, and profit goals as well as priorities consistent with C&D brand and corporate strategies.
  • Build cross-functional working relationship with Costco Canada to ensure best in class partnership. Lead development and execution of strategy, negotiations, and aligned plans.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled business reviews with customer to ensure alignment and support for the implementation of initiatives, including innovation, promotional planning, supply chain process improvements, and more.
  • Work collaboratively with all internal stakeholders and functions to identify, develop, and execute strategic plans. Responsible for project management of Costco workstreams.
  • Responsible for financial & demand forecasting management, including trade spend, revenue growth targets, shipments, deductions, post audits, and disputes. Accountable for meeting forecast accuracy objectives and customer profitability.
  • Support Church & Dwight Digital Marketing and eCommerce strategies in collaboration with Marketing. Lead execution Costco.ca strategy and development.
  • Negotiate retail media programs and support the execution of shopper marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with International Church & Dwight partners on best practice sharing, opportunities, and common work streams.
  • Act as a leader internally on the sharing and development of critical Costco knowledge and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Must have a minimum 4-6 years of CPG sales experience, preferably with a National retailer
  • Costco experience is an asset
  • Position requires individual to have a thorough understanding of business financials and solid presentation experience to executive level personnel internally & externally
  • Strong strategic negotiation skills and influence-based selling skills
  • Solid project management, communication, and presentation skills (JBP/T2T experience is preferred)
  • Proven ability to transform insights and data into actionable, customer-relevant plans
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and syndicated POS data
