The Opportunity:

The Bilingual Specialist, Operations and Partner Relations (Express) plays a key role in supporting and managing relationships with non-traditional business partners, with a primary focus on Quebec and Ontario. Reporting to the Manager, Operations and Partner Relations (Express), this role is responsible for fostering strong partnerships, identifying opportunities and challenges, supporting sales growth, and ensuring adherence to M&M Food Market brand standards. The Specialist will also provide coaching, troubleshooting, and strategic guidance to help partners succeed in their operations.

This position requires extensive travel—approximately 50% of the time—to new and existing partner locations across Quebec and Ontario, with occasional travel to other regions in Canada. This position ensures timely openings, delivers effective partner training, and equips partners with the tools needed to successfully represent and sell M&M Food Market products.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with opening new locations in the non-traditional business sector, including extensive travel to new partners and new locations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to assist with all of the new non-traditional location processes, including store set-up, product ordering/inventory, partner training & coaching, sales reporting, target development, marketing, etc.
  • Assist with the management of partner relationships by maintaining continuous communication to ensure strong relationships are maintained and any risks and challenges are identified and addressed in a timely manner with the partner and the Operations and Partner Relations (Express).
  • Utilize the opportunity to expand the program with partners by identifying opportunities for locations, methods and programs to increase sales, and by teaching best practices, ensuring that brand standards are always maintained.
  • Assist with the maintenance of brand standards amongst non-traditional partners by working with the Manager, Operations Auditing and Compliance (Express) to follow up on partner audits and reviews and tracking performance across locations.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with various head office departments i.e. work closely with the Finance and Supply Chain teams to create price lists for each partner and with the Marketing team to create the appropriate promotional material for Express Partners.
  • Support the Manager, Operations and Partner Relations (Express) with various tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in store management, training, development, territory management.
  • Bilingual in English and French (preferred).
  • Background in restaurant, retail, or grocery operations is an asset.
  • Willing and able to travel across Canada, including evenings, weekends, and short-notice trips.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills; able to engage, influence, and collaborate.
  • Results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; comfortable with various documentation.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Skilled in analyzing and interpreting data from various sources.
  • Physically able to meet job demands (e.g., lift up to 40 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods).
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle.
