RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary
We are seeking a clinical research coordinator for Engage 2.0 and MECS, integrated studies focused on the sexual health of gay, bisexual, and queer men, both cis and trans, as well as other men who have sex with men. The studies will build on the observations of the Engage Cohort Study, which took place from 2017-2023 (https://www.engage-men.ca/). The studies are happening in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg.
Engage 2.0 and MECS will use a peer-based recruitment method called respondent-driven sampling (RDS), where participants are invited to join the study through a coupon from someone who already participated. Biobehavioural data will be collected, participants will be asked to fill out a questionnaire and complete STBBI testing.

Education: Bachelor's Degree
Field of Study: Health Science, Social sciences, Basic sciences, Psychology, or other closely related field
Other Education Considered An Asset For This Position
Work Experience: 1 year of experience an asset, can be experience that was acquired during studies. Experience working with clients, study participants, or patients is an asset.

Pay Scale: $44,408.00 - $82,427.80. Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: : Variable Schedule
Flexible schedule according to availability of the candidate and the study site schedule. Work on weekends or evenings may be required.
Work Site: Multisite
The work may take place remotely, at a physical community site in the Montreal gay village (1705 Visitation St 3e étage, Montreal, Quebec H2L 3C3) and/or at the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) of the The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC), 5252 Boulevard de Maisonneuve Ouest.

General Duties
- Assisting in data collection (e.g., participant bookings, consent, etc.),
- Interacting with and assisting Engage/MECS participants as they complete study visits (e.g. answering questions regarding the survey) in French and English,
- Interacting with team members, community organization representatives, and co-investigators in French and English,
- Ensuring participant tracking and follow-up,
- Planning, developing, implementing various operational and administrative tasks within Engage and MECS,
- Performing data entry,
- Preparing submissions to the Research Ethics Board,
- Assisting in the development, update and implementation of Engage study instruments,
- Conducting literature reviews,
- Aid in the preparation of conference presentations, academic manuscripts and technical reports,
- Aid in the facilitation of community engagement committee meetings.
