The Senior Business Systems Consultant acts as a liaison between business clients and IT, leading team projects, providing advanced knowledge on systems requirements, solutions, and business services, and offering guidance and mentorship to other business systems analysts.

How You Will Create Impact

The Senior Business Systems Consultant will create impact by playing a key role in both operational governance and by providing expertise and mature systems thinking. This role will oversee and execute on remediation for agreed KPI’s and the governance of ServiceNow platform technology changes. The incumbent will ensure contracts are current and adhered to; working with vendor governance were appropriate. The Senior Business Systems Consultant will participate in the development of business cases and the evaluation of proposals working with business and IT, project managers, application architects and solution designers to assist management in selecting and prioritizing business and technical systems initiatives. They will participate in planning for projects and present key functional designs, issues and solutions to all levels of the organization. One of the fundamental responsibilities for this role is to provide mature systems thinking, overseeing complex integrations to understand key connectors and to streamline and automate where possible. This role will be instrumental in developing an automation roadmap and to execute on that roadmap; ensuring value is extracted using automations.

To Join Our Team

  • Post-secondary education in Business Analysis or Computer Science
  • 10+ years of experience service delivery with focus on IT Service Management and extensive experience with ServiceNow insurance/systems project management or vendor management, preferably Creditor.
  • Strong understanding of technology platforms, integrating APIs, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, communication skills, and partnering abilities.
  • Proficiency in the development of business cases and the utilization of Agile methodology.
  • Knowledge or experience in the areas of vendor management and contracts considered an asset.
  • Service Management and ServiceNow certifications considered an asset.
