Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator
Mississauga, Ontario
Summary: Coordinate and handle all shipping, receiving, inventory and ERP system tasks in a demanding customer-oriented environment. Support operations with routine assignments and special projects.
Responsibilities:
Picking & Shipping
- Prioritize shipments by reviewing shipment task list
- Find parts from inventory location efficiently
- Count parts accurately and ensure part number matches pick list and the item in the bin
- Select appropriate packing based on items picked
- Secure large parts and equipment to crates by cutting wood beams to size
- Label packaging with correct BOL, packing list, commercial invoice and label
- Safely load transport vehicles by using forklift, pump truck or by hand
- Organize incoming shipment on warehouse floor to ensure shipments are easily identified
- Safely unload transport vehicles by using forklift, pump truck or by hand
- Check all items in the package and ensure the right qty, description and part number match the supplier packing slip
- Follow put away list and ensure parts are placed into inventory accurately or properly labeled in the holding area
- Use Navision ERP system to accurately make shipment posts of items shipped or received
- Add freight cost to shipment orders when the order is prepaid and add
- Following shipping instructions from inside sales in the Navision ERP system
- Determine type of shipment method to use based on size of shipment and packaging
- Determine type of service to use based on inside sales or ERP system instructions
- Book freight or courier shipments by using phone, email, or website
- Ensure all shipments are picked up in a timely manner, if not investigate or call shipping company
- Keep inventory organized and ensure all items are in their designated location
- Ensure all bins or parts are clearly labelled
- Report any discrepancies in inventory and help with investigation to find a resolution
- Ensure warehouse is kept organized and ensure all packing materials, shipments and carts are in their designated area
- Ensure warehouse is clean with no spill, dust or trip hazards on the floor
- Operate forklift and any other equipment following all safety rules and protocols
- Replenish shipping materials by using requisition system
- Report all quality issues using system
- Complete all equipment inspection using system
- Attach all shipping and receiving documents into system
- Assist service technician on service repair jobs
- Assist assembly of mechanical components on new builds
- Support OPEX initiatives by executing routine tasks and continuous improvement projects
- Complete all assigned routine HSE tasks and special projects
- Support quality and process improvements projects
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Fluent in English
- Able to operate a forklift
- Microsoft office suite proficient
- Mechanically inclined
- Highschool diploma or higher
- Forklift license
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a similar role
