We currently have an opening for a Junior Environmental Scientist in our Regina office.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Participating actively in promoting a strong health and safety culture in the team.
- Communicating and coordinating with clients and contractors.
- Executing field programs, including collecting and analyzing field data from soil, surface and groundwater sampling, water supply well drilling, borehole logging, and hydraulic well tests.
- Evaluating data and technical reporting of:
- Groundwater monitoring;
- Aquifer testing;
- Soil sampling;
- Environmental Site Assessments.
- Supporting project managers, including proposal writing, scheduling, and project close-out.
- Supporting on-going business development efforts, including preparation of work plans, scopes, and budgets.
What you will bring:
- Undergraduate degree or applied technical diploma in environmental science, geology, physical geography, earth science, chemistry, water resources, or an equivalent area of practice.
- Relevant work experience in a related field; consulting experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with technical and non-technical clients and contractors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Experience working safely in remote areas and extreme environments and weather conditions.
- Familiarity with Saskatchewan regulations and guidelines.
- Eligibility to become registered with a professional association (e.g., P. Geo., P.Ag., PTech) is an asset.
