Position Summary

As a L&D Specialist, you will play a key role in developing the skills of our teams. You will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs aligned with the company’s operational needs and strategic objectives

A day in the life of a L&D Specialist:

  • Elaborates a learning & delivery model that allows an excellent, efficient & consistent training implementation & execution.
  • Brings to bear analytics and Learning efficiency index to provide insights on the impacts of the Learning solutions on business/people.
  • Promote, deploy and animate the Nestlé training offer and catalogue in Canada.
  • Coordinate all training projects including events, seminars, openings, off-site workshops, national meetings and events across Canada for CRC, B2B, Retail, Trade and Corporate.
  • Manage L&D catalogue calendar for CRC, B2B, Retail, Trade and Corporate.
  • Coordinate trainings (logistics and administrative).
  • Negotiate with various internal and external suppliers (e.g. hotels, caterers, printers, speakers, partnerships, etc.).
  • Manage training attendance (timesheets, tracking tables, registration reminders, eligibility, learning management system (iLearn), etc.).
  • Ensure annual training plan is respected and trainings are up to the Nespresso standard while respecting brand guidelines.
  • Monitor and track supply availability with various programs (all LMS platforms and Excel).
  • Write various market-wide announcements, communications and memos in French and English.

Training Content Design & Launch

  • Creation of all tools necessary (one-pagers, PowerPoint, Activities (Klaxoon, Kahoot) and Facilitation methods) to deliver an effective and encouraging learning solution.
  • Engage external and internal collaborators (outsourcers, partners, operational trainers) throughout design and launch.
  • Build a variety of training solutions that effectively meet needs, such as digital (e-learning creation), findings, webinars, handouts, workshops, seminars, facilitation, PowerPoint, exercises, manuals, handbooks, games, assessments, etc.

What will make you successful?

  • Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree is required, preferably in Human Resources or Sales.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Learning & Development (L&D), Human Resources (HR), or a retail position.
  • Experience in conducting training needs analysis.
  • Proven experience in content creation and curation.
  • Experience in delivering and facilitating training sessions.
  • Background in a Retail or Customer-Facing environment.
  • Familiarity with e-learning, learning management systems, and current trends in digital learning.
