Contributes to the overall success of Technology through effective management, ensuring business and technology requirements are delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. This role be responsible for driving end-to-end technical system integration across Global Banking and Markets (GBM), GBT and supporting business units.

In This Role You Will

  • Part of the senior management team responsible for technology supporting business initiatives
  • Develop a robust understanding of supported products (such as but not limited to GTB / Cash Management, Mortgages Capital Markets) including but not limited to client/account lifecycle activities (open/maintain/close), balance & transaction reconciliations, interest/fee calculations & payments, client payment processing, statement processing, and various audit, regulatory and financial reporting deliverables
  • Responsible for managing the relationship between the business and supporting Enterprise technology partners
  • Work with support teams to implement new or updated application systems required to enable this business, addressing any business concerns in a timely fashion with resolution and troubleshooting as needed
  • Identify, create and/or maintain operational controls to mitigate risk and drive efficiencies in processes.
  • Act as oversight for related IT projects, ensuring compliance with the Enterprise Delivery Framework
  • Participate in Architecture review Boards, ensuring business initiatives are supported by robust solution design which meets the Bank’s technology standards
  • Synthesize findings and present clear recommendations and roadmaps ensure impactful project outcomes to senior leaders
  • Act as a thought partner for senior leaders within the context of strategic technology projects and on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain resource and budget planning related to technology requirements and enhancements as the business is expanded in region.
  • Monitors all deliverables and commitments, timelines and due dates devising controls and checks to minimize operational and compliance risks.
  • Maintains stakeholder relationships, particularly keeping leadership apprised of necessary information
  • Manages interaction with control functions (e.g., 2nd line Risk and Compliance, Internal Quality Assurance, 3rd line Internal Audit), ensuring the local and enterprise teams are meeting expectations.
  • Provides targeted problem-solving support to technology and business teams to simplify, accelerate and improve solutions.
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • 10+ years of experience in technology, with a focus on developing applications through requirements, testing, implementation and support
  • Knowledge of Transaction Banking businesses (e.g., Payments/Deposits, FX Settlement and Liquidity Management)
  • Experience working with the front office and standing up a new or growing business preferred
  • Advanced problem solving, financial and analysis skills to deal with complex operational issues, across functions.
  • Ability to analyze complex cross-functional problems and identify opportunities for improvement within the overall context of the business and its service delivery functions.
  • Comfortable working with teams across regions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional business relationships

Proficient in MS-Office productivity applications, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
