Our Ideal Candidate

As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated success with the coordination of the execution of a wide variety of industrial projects.

A Day in the Life

  • Produce mechanical and piping layout drawings, piping isometrics, mechanical equipment (tank, exchanger, vessel) drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams, and bills of materials
  • Develop 3D models of process facilities from conceptual 2D sketches and drawings; import existing 3D models and modify with new design information
  • Ensure quality checking of design drawings and documents is completed as required by procedures
  • Provide mentorship to junior designer team members
  • Engage in regular communication and coordinate with other disciplines throughout the design process.
  • Capture and implement input from client personnel during project development through drawing and 3D model reviews
  • Perform site and shop visits to obtain as-built conditions, measurements, etc.
  • Set up and maintain Plant 3D projects per project specifications, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide design information to vendors and construction contractors for bid processes and subcontracted designs.
  • Provide design and drafting effort assessment for proposal estimates
  • Participate in technical meetings with the office engineering team and client

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • Technical diploma or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience working on industrial project designs.
  • Experience in plant piping design utilizing Plant 3D platform is required.
  • Experience with coordination of work and people, communication (verbal and written), planning and organization
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Preferred Skills: Knowledge and experience with AutoDesk software (eg. Plant 3D. AutoCad, AutoCad, Advanced Steel etc.)
