Reporting to the Kitchen Department Head (or his/her delegate), the Kitchen Service Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Department Head (DH) and Assistant Department Head (ADH) in providing guidance, supervision and sets as a good example for Kitchen Service Assistants to follow.

T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 31 stores across the country: 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 10 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

  • Greet customers by providing good customer service with smile, friendly enthusiasm
  • Understand department’s operations, assist Department Head to accomplish performance target
  • Familiar with products ordering , its process and execution
  • Follow company’s pricing principle and partner closely with the pricing strategies of Merchandising Department
  • Lead by example by performing duties of Kitchen Service Assistant as required
  • Provide guidance and supervision to Kitchen Service Assistants, ensure fair distribution of work and daily checklists are strictly executed
  • Assist Department Head to train department staff, provide feedback on staff performance and handle department operations in lieu of DH and ADH
  • Handle customers’ complaints, deliver and monitor exceptional customer service and deliver customers’ feedback to Department Head
  • Conduct quality and inventory control, responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene, equipment and tools maintenance follow up and workplace safety of the department
  • Manage product quality, food safety, freshness and ensure FIFO is strictly practiced within the department
  • Maintain and update UPC pricing, verify and ensure product labeling are properly done
  • Ensure all cooked products are properly packaged and displayed
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior
  • Possess great interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays
  • Have a good understanding of tools & equipments’ relevant to the job and know how to interpret labels of merchandises
  • Good organization and problem-solving skills
  • Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety
  • Possess product knowledge, display, promotion and packaging techniques
  • 2 years and /or above relevant experience
  • Possess basic computer skills in MS Office
