What You Will Do
Up to 1 temporary full-time position for up to 11 months available
Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week or 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday.

What You Will Do
- Support the development and implementation of marketing and communication plans, including collateral or campaign materials, advertising and promotional campaigns, social media posts, videos, production requests, special events, media, publications, and educational material
- Shoot video and use video editing software
- Coordinate and facilitate messaging for media, issues, for both internal and external communications
- Coordinate timely and accurate responses to media inquiries and provide on-scene media relations support
- Provide research, liaison and support for marketing and communications planning
- Liaise with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders
- Draft and develop copy for news releases, public service announcements, backgrounder documents, collateral materials, newsletters, advertising copy, web and digital content, key messages, speaking notes, and other general writing assignments
- Coordinate revisions and approvals for copy/messaging materials
- Develop and execute event plans, collateral and educational material
- Coordinate event logistics and community initiatives/activities
- Lead and support volunteers or other event personnel for events
- Provide research, liaison and support for event planning. Including coordination and development of data collection and evaluation of events
- Develop and write social media posts, execute social media activities
- Develop, write and coordinate content for digital platforms and tools
- Develop copy for web and coordinate web approvals
- Coordinate production of collateral materials which involves liaising with designers, clients and more senior level team members and balancing the differing perspectives, while ensuring products are completed on time and on budget
- Coordinate fact-checking and the collection of information from various clients areas to support the creation of marketing and communications products
- Graduation from a 2-year college, accredited post-secondary institute, or technical institute program with coursework related to marketing, journalism, communications, or public relations
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a public relations, public affairs, or public information position
- If candidates do not fully meet the above requirements, they may be considered at the opportunity concept level
- Experience working in the public sector or a large complex organisation
- Membership in IABC, CPRS or other related professional association
- Experience shooting and editing video
- A proven ability to deliver quality marketing communication products and advice on time
- Experience in delivering marketing communications materials
- Working knowledge of communications, marketing, advertising, media, social media, design coordination, event planning, and print production
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff at all levels and external client groups
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Ability to gather technical information from clients to translate into marketing communications products

- 40 hours per week: $34.137 - $42.915 ( Hourly) $71,278.060 - $89,606.520 (Annually)
- 33.75 hours per week: $36.125- $45.414 (Hourly) $63,642.54 - $80,008.80 (Annually)
