  • (Internal Title- Project Management IV)
  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of the Program. This will encompass the identification, evaluation, and selection of the most efficient and effective approaches to construct, integrate, and operate the railway infrastructure and associated components. It involves meticulous planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities to achieve project objectives while adhering to safety standards, quality requirements, and time constraints
  • Manage effective relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders to provide a point of contact for Special Track work for both pre- and post-installation
  • Apply project management controls and procedures to all projects so all special track work design and construction are delivered within time, cost and quality KPIs
  • Senior Project Managers work across the full portfolio of the Specialized Delivery – Track team from minor renewals through to complex multi-disciplinary programs
  • Accountable for managing the safe and effective delivery of all projects from low complexity single discipline through to high complexity multi-disciplinary projects in order to meet client requirements to time, cost, quality, and performance
  • Manage and implement the assigned projects from inception through to completion
  • Develop new project or program plans and expectations in consultation with and delegating deliverables to stakeholders, including clients
  • Determine and manage the human and material resources required to complete assigned projects successfully
  • Formulate a resource allocation strategy and utilize this to distribute work and budgets
  • Exercise authority in managing the work and control the delivery of the projects per project plans
  • Review and ensure adherence to the overall scope, schedule, and budget 
  • Identify risks and entrench mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Monitor and report on performance against project requirements, schedule, milestones, budgets, quality measures, and KPIs, and address issues with corrective actions as appropriate to ensure excellence and adherence to specified deadlines
  • Evaluate the project's effectiveness by consulting with clients and other stakeholders
  • Establish and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations to various audiences, including the project team, client executives, key stakeholders, and Operations
  • Lead scope change negotiations
  • Oversee ongoing quality control, participate in quality issue resolution, and manage internal quality control checks for the project
  • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project and program life cycle

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in Project Management
  • Experience in the development and delivery of special trackwork projects in compliance with company processes and procedures
  • Ability to create production of project management plans for special trackwork projects
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Licenses OR Certifications:
  • Holding a recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Demonstrate skills to manage collaborative cross-functional virtual teams to deliver projects
  • Significant experience of regular progress reports on projects, including relevant risks and issues
  • Commercial and financial awareness
  • Experience in delivering project budgets within agreed targets
  • Strong understanding of prevailing Project Management methods
  • Extensive knowledge of tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Project Management software
  • Must maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices
  • Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership   
  • Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities    
  • Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)
