The Claims Examiner - Alberta reporting to Protection Products & Mechanical Claims Manager – Alberta. The Claims Examiner – Tire/Rim/Key/Etch is responsible for reviewing and assessing claims in relation to the specific coverages outlined in a customer’s policy. This includes evaluating labor, parts, sublet work, and any additional charges to ensure they fall within the scope of the approved coverage.
Hours of work will be: Monday to Thursday 9:00am - 6:00pm, and Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm.

The Claims Examiner - Alberta reporting to Protection Products & Mechanical Claims Manager – Alberta. Essential Responsibilities
- Manages general incoming calls/emails/faxes and logs all claims and inquiries.
- Responsible for the review of tire pictures ensuring loss is coverable under the terms of the policy.
- Return authorizations for covered claims or respond to non-covered claims with the reason of denial.
- File all approved claims manually or electronically.
- Responsible to match all incoming invoices with backup for payment, stamp all invoices, insert the required information, calculate the amount paid including a breakdown of tax(es) and enter the claim as paid.
- Processing Key and Etch claims including payables of each.
- Weekly balancing of claim payables.
- Processing of aged claims authorized but never received.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or academic equivalencies is required.
- Automotive or dealership experience is an asset.
- Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) is required.
- Keyboarding/typing skills of 65+WPM (error free).
- Previous experience with frontline customer interaction via telephone and/or email is required.
- Fluent in English with proven competencies in verbal and written communication, is required.
- Fluent in French with proven competencies in verbal and written communication, is an asset.
- Ability to work a rotational Saturday/Statutory holiday is required.
- Successful completion of a credit check, criminal background check, and employment reference checks are required before employment.
