About The Role
As a Team Lead - Master Electrician (FSR-B), you’ll be a key player in delivering high-quality solar installations. You'll lead electrical work for both residential and commercial projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
What You'll Do
- Team leads are in control of the whole installation, making sure all team members have what they need to do their jobs, then completing electrical wiring, service upgrades, line side taps etc.
- They do site inspections, pull and close permits, communicate with the customer and ultimately are in charge of making sure every job is done at a best in class level, every time.
- Ensure monitoring systems are functioning and that payment is collected before leaving each job.
- Effectively manage their schedule to complete all of their daily tasks.
- Install, test, and troubleshoot solar panel systems
- Installation of electrical equipment such as but not limited to; main service panel upgrades, sub panels, line side taps, junction boxes, and disconnects.
- Running electrical wiring throughout residential and commercial job sites in a clean and tidy fashion causing minimal disruption to the site.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project success
- Coordinating the job effectively and safely with your team. Assigning certain members to certain tasks.
- Train and mentor team members to improve their technical skills and ensure consistency in installation quality
- Maintain accurate records within CRM.
- Communicate with clients to provide updates and resolve any issues that may arise during the installation process
- Final payment collection and monitor setup in customer’s home.
- Time management, setting aside a specified amount of time per week to go to future jobs for a site inspection with clients. Answering their questions and advising them on the best way of running wire, if we may need to cut drywall, etc.
- Ensuring workplace safety by following WorkSafeBC safe working guidelines, with safety at the forefront of your decision-making.
- Performing all work in a timely and efficient manner, meeting or exceeding company timeline expectations.
- Providing high-quality workmanship and attention to detail to ensure customer satisfaction, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Using company tools and equipment with care and reporting any damage or malfunctions immediately.
- Valid FSR-B Electrical License in British Columbia
- Experience in residential electrical work (solar experience preferred but not required).
- Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Ability to work at heights and in outdoor conditions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Computer literacy
- Communicate with local electrical inspectors
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to follow SOP’s
- Detail-focused with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel and work in various locations across Canada
