Description

We are hiring a Junior Mechanical Engineer to our team based out of our Global Technology Center in the heart of downtown Vaughan, Ontario.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Junior Mechanical Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in the design of new tool technologies under the guidance of Senior or Intermediate Mechanical Engineers.
  • Track and manage project milestones related to schedule and budget as assigned, report status to management on a regular basis.
  • Produce complete manufacturing drawings packages.
  • Order parts for manufacture.
  • Produce complete assembly drawing packages.
  • Participate in assembly of tools on shop floor.
  • Provide support to shop floor personnel.
  • Provide support to remote Operations team.
  • Execute change management tasks as assigned (ECR/ECN).
  • Follow internal company procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent experience required.
  • (0-3) years of mechanical engineering design experience.
  • Some project management experience preferred.
  • Experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D design software is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and independent environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
  • Team player and ability to work independently.
