RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

Under the management of the Performance Office, the incumbent will be responsible for performing moderately complex duties involving data entry and verification. He/she will send research information requests to researchers and archive information collected.

General Duties

  • Registers researcher’s project funding in the database hosted by the “Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé”, according to established rules. Communicate with other Quebec centres in case of collaborations,
  • Participates to the administration of the RI-MUHC Studentship and Fellowship competition,
  • Consults established rules to determine researcher’s appointment eligibility, Transmit research appointment letters to researchers,
  • Updates research project funding according to researcher requests,
  • Performs various data manipulation using various software,
  • Coordinates researcher profile updates on various Rl systems,
  • Participates in the performance team discussions regarding process improvement
  • Participates to system improvements if requires.

Education / Experience

Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)

Other education considered an asset for this position: University certificate an asset.

  • Work Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience in an academic, hospital or research environment.

Required Skills

  • Good knowledge of French and English (spoken and written),
  • Demonstrate a great sense of organization and interpersonal relationships,
  • Intermediate level with the Microsoft and fluency in the use and learning of software in general,
  • Good verbal and written communications,
  • High level of accuracy and efficiency,
  • Ability to multi-task and work simultaneously on various projects while meeting objectives.

Additional information

Status : Full-time (35 hours/week)

Pay Scale: $41,550.60 - $62,353.20/year Commensurate with education & work experience.

Work Shift: from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays to Fridays

Work Site: 2155 Guy Street
