Market Access and Pricing Assessments: Provide research and project support for client market access and pricing assessments. This requires preparing assessments of clinical evidence and value for product reimbursement. In this role, the Consultant will:
PMPRB semi-annual filings: The Pricing and Policy Team is responsible for leading the semi-annual price regulatory filings for many clients’ patented medicines. As part of the cross-functional team this role will be responsible for a selection of client semi-annual filings. While a foundational understanding of the PMPRB is required, the role will receive training on Block 5 filing requirements from the Sr. Consultant, Pricing and Forecasting.
Budget Impact Analyses: The pricing and policy team provides clients with strategic development of budget impact models for new product HTA submissions, payer engagement and reimbursement negotiations. This function also requires transferring knowledge of modelling into strategic advice for product forecasting, and the development of reimbursement negotiation options. This role will be required to independently develop budget impact models and reports, working cross functionally with other team members in pricing and policy, clinical, and health economics.

$74,100 - $123,500

- Independently synthesize, interpret, and communicate clinical data, pricing data, and policy information and input into product value and reimbursement assessments
- Understand PMPRB and HTA processes, private and public reimbursement markets, and policy/reimbursement trends affecting market access
- Collaborate cross-functionally supporting the review and critical appraisal of evidence and pricing objectives

Qualifications:
- Ability to problem-solve, to work independently and as part of a team, and to think strategically and attention to detail is imperative for growth in this role
- University degree in a relevant scientific or business discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant experience, for example in an HTA or government agency (e.g., Health Canada, CADTH, INESSS, public drug plan, PMPRB), health care consultancy, pharmaceutical/biotechnology organization.
- Experience in clinical and policy writing
- Understanding of Canadian drug reimbursement and pricing policies
- A passion for market access, pricing, and policy – for improving access to innovative and specialized therapies
- Strong analytical and writing skills with the ability to distill and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and reference management tools such as EndNote
- Fluency in English is essential for the position with fluency in French an asset, but not essential
