Product Designer – Louvers

The Successful Candidate’s Responsibilities Will Include

• Creating customer submittal drawings and manufacturing details for special order products
• Issuing and maintaining configuration rules and routings for assemblies, parts, and materials.
• Providing technical support to our sales representative network regarding product applications, selections, specifications, and pricing
• Providing assistance to manufacturing cell(s) in relation to product design or manufacturability issues and inquiries.
• Planning and managing engineered-to-order projects and internal continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contributing to new product development and the creation or improvement of customer facing software tools and product literature.
• Contributing to equipment related projects through the identification and implementation of new machinery, fixtures, tools, guards or processes to maximize production efficiency and safety
  
  

The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology diploma
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects concurrently and delivering results.
• A comprehensive understanding of product design, manufacturing, and product performance testing processes
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidEdge and/or SolidWorks is preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• MRP or ERP systems experience is considered an asset.
• Experience in sheet metal and extrusion-based manufacturing, design, assembly or finishing (painting/anodizing) environments would be considered an asset.
