What you´ll do
- Lead the creation of annual statistically trended base forecast for the organization
- As a working Manager, develops monthly/weekly forecasts for specific product(s)/customer(s)/channel(s) as assigned.
- Partners with Marketing, Sales and Project Managers to generate new product initiative forecasts and to ensure product is available and ready to support new product launches.
- Leads the generation of demand side inputs of the annual planning process (KP).
- Owns the demand alignment process (working with Sales and Marketing). Presents the S&OP forecast in the Demand meeting for the assigned BU, including an overview of key assumptions, risks and opportunities to that forecast.
- Partners with BU Supply planning manager/team to assure forecasts can be translated into actionable supply chain plans that optimize inventory and maximize customer service.
- Understand and analyze key business drivers (point-of-sale data, market share, product data, inventory requirements, competitive activity) and drive improvement in the forecasting process with the Demand team.
- Work closely with Sales and Category Management to understand relationship between trade spending and volume.
- Manage root cause process and lead plans to drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy.
- Ensure best practices related to monthly S&OP and weekly demand planning are being followed throughout the planning process and drives continuous improvements in the S&OP process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with marketing, sales and other functional teams and utilize those relationships to enhance business performance.
- Leads and/or participates in implementation of new processes and practices for the demand planning team.
- Bachelors Degree ideally in Supply Chain
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Planning (with a large focus in Demand Planning, S&OP)
- Proficient in SAP ERP, APO and an advanced Excel user. Additionally, comfortable with Power Point and Power BI
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills: Position requires ability to apply critical thinking to dissimilar problems and deliver fact supported analysis, and the capability to quickly switch between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
- Communication is critical to drive change and execution while building partnerships. Excellent oral and written skills, organizational and time-management abilities, effective inter-personal skills, and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels
- Candidate needs to be able to promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across the organization and possess the ability to work across multiple teams.
- Knowledge of integrated supply chain processes.
- Comfortable presenting to and working directly with senior management.
- Experience with continual process improvement methods.
- Experience in the industry or in a CPG environment is preferred.
