STRIVE Recruitment is currently hiring a CNC TURNING SPECIALIST for a growing machine shop in Hamilton, ON. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a mechanical background who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. The Grinding Technician supports production by managing all grinding applications in a jobbing environment, including single pieces and low-quantity runs.

- Perform initial set-ups and run first offs.
- Produce 2D machined parts using 2-axis machines with a heavy focus on programming.
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerances.
- Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Liaise with Engineering to provide constructive feedback and improvements to processes.
- Maintain ISO quality standards and safe working environment.
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Licensed General Machinist (429A) is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Haas / DMG MAPPS controls is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of MasterCam is considered an asset.
- Ability to program 2D horizontal lathes.
- Ability to set up and run first off parts.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or sketches.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Time management and communication skills.
