You will keep our People team systems run smoothly and make complex things simple. In this key role, you will take charge of the continuous improvement and development of our HCM modules. As the subject matter expert, you will provide essential functional expertise and ongoing support for production activities, reporting and various projects. Your collaboration with People team members and other departments will be vital in ensuring that organizational needs are met effectively, driving initiatives that enhance our HCM system and overall HR processes.

As the subject matter expert, you will provide essential functional expertise and ongoing support for production activities, reporting and various projects. Your collaboration with People team members and other departments will be vital in ensuring that organizational needs are met effectively, driving initiatives that enhance our HCM system and overall HR processes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Optimize our HCM system capabilities through process improvement, configuration, testing, training and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cross-functional People teams to understand and improve business processes, providing HCM solutions that drive efficiency
- Design and maintain HCM reporting & analytics, producing custom dashboards, reports and ad-hoc analyses to support internal teams and leadership decisions
- Support integrations and implementations as an HCM SME, ensuring seamless data flow between HCM and other People technologies.
- Manage data migration while adhering to data privacy and retention policies
- Continuously identify opportunities to process efficiency and system improvements, adopting a product-driven mindset to optimize HCM functionality requirements
- Performing day-to-day operational tasks, ensure smooth workflow, and promptly resolve any operational issues that may arise.
- Support the maintenance of Annual Cycles and configuration in HCM; ensure the integrity and quality of data transmitted.
- Document and maintain operational procedures.
- Triage and solution for end users, business partners and administrative issues. These fixes may include short term workarounds but will always focus on long term and comprehensive solutions to problems.
- Conduct research using HCM's online resources in order to deliver high-quality operational support
- 3+ years of experience as a HCM analyst or administrator
- Experience in implementation is a plus, ideally with Workday
- HCM training or equivalent experience in HCM fundamentals, Business Process Configuration, Report Writing (advanced/matrix/composite reports), dashboards, EIBs, and related HCM features.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), with a strong customer service focus and the ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical and collaborative problem-solving approach with the ability to understand not just the "what" but the "why" behind requests, showcasing empathy for business needs.
- Experience presenting data and ideas effectively across various audiences, from technical teams to executives.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred; HCM certification is a plus.
- Product-driven mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and driving process efficiency in People technology.
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize employee experience as a product, with proven success applying product management principles (road-mapping, user journeys, feature prioritization) to HR initiatives
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools in the flow of work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships and demonstrate commitment to teamwork.
- Experience with full HCM project lifecycle management, from planning to change management and adoption.
- Enthusiasm for process improvement and a proactive approach to data integrity and exploring HCM’s evolving features.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing business needs while maintaining attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to various audience.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
