Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement container-based delivery of software components
- Automate deployment tasks of components to production, QA, and development environments
- Interaction with production teams to define DevOps best practices
- Implement Dev & QA needs and requirements into a CI/CD pipeline.
- Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability
- Develop data, process, and network models to optimize architecture and to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs
- Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, upgrade and develop maintenance procedures for operating systems, communications environments, and applications software
- Collaborate with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems / procedures, and data security
- Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation
- Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science (or equivalent).
- 10 years of experience as a DevOps Specialist or System Administrator or in a similar role(s).
- Experience with Linux server environments (RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, SuSE).
- Strong working knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker).
- Experience with Hypervisors (VMWare, KVM, Proxmox).
- Proficiency working with configuration management tools (Ansible).
- Working knowledge with CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
- Knowledge of system/network security and data backup/recovery.
- Ability to create scripts using Bash, Perl or Python.
- Familiarity with code versioning systems such as Git.
- Practical knowledge of monitoring software (Zabbix, Prometheous, SigNoz)
- Experience with Single Sign-On software configuration is a plus (Keycloak, OpenLDAP)
- Knowledge of build automation tools is a plus (Maven, Gradle, NodeJS)
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills in French and English.
