As the Product Owner for Genetics, you will play a critical role in expanding TELUS Health’s preventive care ecosystem by designing, enhancing, and scaling our genetics testing offerings. You’ll lead with curiosity and purpose—translating scientific innovation into accessible, high-impact health products that empower individuals to make proactive choices about their health and longevity.

What You'll Do
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own the strategy, development, and evolution of TELUS Health’s genetics testing offerings within our preventive care programs
- Define a clear product vision that leverages genetic insights to support risk stratification, health optimization, and early detection
- Develop a scalable roadmap that integrates genetic services into clinical care pathways, digital platforms, and personalized health journey
- Identify and evaluate new genetics technologies, vendors, and lab partners to expand our offering
- Collaborate clinical teams, and external advisors to bring scientifically credible, evidence-based products to market
- Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory developments in genomics and personalized medicine
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and client interviews to deeply understand user needs and expectations
- Define user personas, map customer journeys, and gather continuous feedback to improve the product experience
- Co-create marketing and education materials with commercial and clinical partners to drive adoption and engagement
- Lead cross-functional teams through product development cycles, from concept to commercialization
- Ensure seamless integration of genetic testing into digital and in-person care models
- Support operations and clinical teams in ensuring service quality, turnaround times, and an exceptional user experience
- Work with analytics and clinical teams to define success metrics and measure clinical and business outcomes
- Monitor product performance, adoption, and ROI, continuously iterating to improve value delivery
- Translate complex data and scientific findings into actionable business insights and product enhancements
What You Bring
- Experience: 7+ years in product management or healthcare innovation, preferably with experience in genetic testing, diagnostics, or precision health
- Healthcare & Science Savvy: Solid understanding of genetic science and how it applies to clinical care, wellness, or consumer health
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to create and execute product strategies that combine market insights, scientific evidence, and business goals
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with lab partners, clinicians, commercial teams, and digital product stakeholders
- Customer-Centered: Deep empathy for users—patients, clinicians, and clients—and an obsession with improving their experience
- Communication Skills: Excellent ability to convey scientific, clinical, and product information to diverse audiences
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Genetics, Public Health, Business, or a related field. A graduate degree or certification in genomics, digital health, or product management is an asset
