The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a deep passion for system reliability, automation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
    • Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) configurations to provision, manage, and scale our cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Champion IaC best practices, ensuring consistent, repeatable, and version-controlled infrastructure deployments.
    • Implement reusable IaC modules and components to accelerate infrastructure delivery and reduce manual effort.
    • Collaborate with development teams to define infrastructure requirements and translate them into efficient IaC.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Optimization:
    • Design, implement, and optimize highly automated and reliable CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
    • Integrate security scanning, quality gates, and automated testing into the CI/CD workflow to ensure robust deployments.
    • Reduce deployment times and improve deployment frequency and reliability across all environments.
    • Implement automated change validation and rollback strategies within CI/CD pipelines to minimize deployment risk.
  • Observability & Monitoring:
    • Establish and mature comprehensive observability practices across our systems, focusing on metrics, logs, and traces.
    • Implement and manage advanced monitoring solutions to provide deep insights into system health and performance.
    • Develop effective alerting strategies to proactively identify and respond to potential issues.
    • Analyze telemetry data to identify trends, performance bottlenecks, and areas for system improvement.
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Principles:
    • Lead high-severity incident responses, focusing on rapid resolution, root cause analysis, and preventative measures.
    • Define, monitor, and enforce Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) to ensure service quality.
    • Proactively identify and eliminate toil through automation, reducing manual operational tasks.
    • Conduct post-incident reviews, driving blameless retrospectives and implementing actionable improvements.
    • Participate in on-call rotations, acting as an escalation point for critical incidents.
Key Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role with a strong focus on system reliability and automation.
  • Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, with hands-on experience using Terraform for managing complex cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Extensive experience with observability platforms and tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, ELK stack).
  • Solid understanding of SRE principles, including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and toil reduction.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Proficiency in incident management and on-call support.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
