We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Assistant Site Supervisor to help manage the daily operations of our construction sites. This role involves working closely with the Site Supervisor to coordinate tasks, uphold safety standards, track progress, and ensure high-quality workmanship throughout all phases of construction.

Our client is a private investment management company who specializes in development of real estate properties of the highest quality. They are expertise involves self-performing construction of multi-unit residential projects across Southwestern Ontario.

Description

  • Support the Site Supervisor in overseeing daily on-site construction activities to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks.

  • Coordinate efficiently with subcontractors, suppliers, and trades to maintain workflow and resolve scheduling conflicts.

  • Enforce site safety protocols and ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations.

  • Keep detailed records of site operations, including daily reports, material deliveries, and labor attendance.

  • Assist in scheduling work activities, managing quality control, and addressing construction issues as they arise.

  • Escalate on-site concerns to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager when necessary.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify that work aligns with plans, specifications, and safety standards.

  • Help manage site logistics, including equipment usage, material handling, and waste management.

  • Maintain clear and professional communication with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.

Profile

  • Diploma or certificate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 3-5 years of local Canadian high-rise residential market experience preferred in construction or a supervisory support role is preferred.

  • Solid understanding of construction practices, materials, and safety guidelines.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to solve problems independently.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and construction management software is a plus.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to multiple job sites.
