Policy, Planning and Research Analyst

Reporting to the Director of Policy, Strategic Planning and French Services, this position is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of strategic priorities and policy proposals, conducting research, analyzing and communicating information related to the Department’s mandate, and preparing briefing notes, cabinet submissions and other confidential documents. This position will coordinate review of and response to policy proposals from other departments as well as provide input into the Department’s legislative agenda. This position will help oversee the administration of policy work related to agencies, boards and commissions and as a key resource in helping the Department meet its Transparency and Accountability Act planning and reporting requirements. Other duties may also be performed as required

Screening Criteria

1. Completion of a university degree in humanities, social sciences or business (equivalencies will be considered)
2. Experience with research and analysis
3. Experience with policy development and analysis (asset)
4. Graduate degree or diploma in a related field (asset)
