As a Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the Procurement Specialist, securing the required supply of materials and services for assigned projects and executing all sourcing and procurement activities.

As a Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the Procurement Specialist, securing the required supply of materials and services for assigned projects and executing all sourcing and procurement activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and manage purchase orders, monitor material costs against budgets, escalate overruns, and ensure a timely project close-out.
- Oversee on-time deliveries, address exceptions with internal teams, and ensure all procurement activities comply with corporate policies and competitive bidding laws
- Gather short-and-long-term demand information for goods and services and work collaboratively with business customers to understand needs and develop solutions.
- Proactively generates cost savings through supplier negotiation of existing contracts and competitive bids.
- Support sourcing activities including RFx processes, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations, while maintaining vendor relationships and tracking performance metrics.
- Review and analyze requests for goods and services.
- Ensure safety and quality standards/installations and projects meet both client and internal stakeholder requirements
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2- 4 years of experience in procurement, direct purchasing experience, supply chain management, or a related field with good knowledge of construction material market.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline an asset
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills with keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software, MS excel, oracle ERP and any other procurement tools.
- Knowledge of business methods, markets and purchasing policies/procedures
- Knowledge of project buying and scheduling
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under strong pressure of tight deadlines.
