About The Role
The IT Technical Advisor Specialist plays a pivotal role in the evolution of the product. He is involved in the planning and implementation of new systems and technologies that can enhance the performance and scalability of the existing infrastructure.
Coordination is a key responsibility requires working closely with various stakeholders, including IT teams, management, and external vendors, to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, the Technical Advisor Specialist is often required to present their findings, plans, and recommendations to various audiences.
Furthermore, it is crucial for to be ambassadors of the company values, setting an example when it comes to respect, integrity, and honesty.

What You'll Do Here
- Strategic Planning: Contributing, alongside the Product Owners and architects, to long-term strategic planning
- Technology Assessment: Evaluating emerging technologies and determining their potential impact and benefits on the organization.
- System Integration: Overseeing the integration of new systems with existing ones to ensure seamless functionality.
- Performance Optimization: Identifying and implementing measures to improve system performance and reliability.
- Contribute to cost benefit analysis and TCO exercise.
- Team Leadership: Leading and coaching juniors and other IT staff.
- Product delivery: Managing the technical aspect of projects from inception to completion (including the intakes, estimates, deliverables and dependencies).
- Collaboration & Enablement: Collaborating, alongside the Product Owners, with Line of Bunisess/End Users/IT to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions, training and support.
- Vendor Management: Explore and challenge solutions, represent technical needs, explore, test new products and features, do technical market watch.
- Assist teams in complex technical problem solving/major incidents/root cause analysis
- Reporting: Making sure reporting/observability tools are in place, well used, have metrics attached, and that the other teams are well trained to meet metrics.
- Presentations: Delivering presentations to management and other stakeholders to explain technical concepts and updates. Contributing to technical updates on major initiatives and influence/facilitates decision-making.
- Documentation: Creating initial documentation and updates when major changes to solutions or design.
- Training: Providing training sessions for team members, IT staff and end-users on new systems and technologies.
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field. Master’s degree would be an asset.
- A minimum of 10 years industry experience, including 5 years in digital workspace design and development.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to digital workspaces.
- Knowledge of security standards and best practices related to digital workspaces.
- Strong technical expertise on Cloud workspace (Microsoft AVD/W365, Citrix DAAS, AWS Workspaces) and Azure Services
- Additional technical expertise on the following: Intune / SCCM / Jamf, Entra ID, Windows and Mac OS, Mobility OS (iOs and Android), Thin Clients OS, Linux OS on endpoints, Terraform scripting, Basics on infrastructure management and networking
- Strong skills in digital workspace design and development.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
- In-depth knowledge of internal business needs and user requirements in the digital workspace domain.
- Project management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in developing and maintaining product roadmaps.
- Ability to define and communicate a technology vision.
- Experience in leading R&D efforts and exploring new technologies.
- Bilingual (French and English): Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
