Position Summary

• We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Specialist to support our DX QA team in delivering business-critical initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on automation expert with a passion for quality, innovation, and continuous improvement
  
  

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Java, Appium, and Cypress frameworks.
• Write and optimize test scripts to enhance automation coverage and efficiency.
• Conduct web and mobile application testing across platforms.
• Perform database testing on MongoDB to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  
  

Test Planning & Execution

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and user stories.
• Execute manual and automated tests, document results, and report issues.
• Conduct end-to-end (E2E) and integration testing for system validation.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
  
  

Defect & Test Management

• Log, triage, and track defects using JIRA, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with development and product teams.
• Utilize Confluence and QMetry for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.
  
  

Work Location : Bayshore Healthcare, National Office, Mississauga ON

Hybrid – At least 2 days onsite weekly

Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior QA Automation Specialist or similar role.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript and/or Python for test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Appium, TestNG, and Cypress (Cypress is a plus, not mandatory).
• Proficient in writing complex database queries for validation and data checks.
• Solid understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies including functional, integration, regression, and E2E testing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
