Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced and strategic Construction Services Lead to lead and grow our Construction Services business across Canada. This is a key leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence, business growth, and client success within the remediation construction sector.

The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of progressive experience in environmental and remediation construction, with a proven track record of leading teams and business units in a consulting environment. This role requires deep industry knowledge, business acumen, and strong leadership to support the continued expansion and integration of our Construction Services offerings within the broader Arcadis platform.

Role accountabilities:

  • Lead the strategic development, growth, and execution of Arcadis’ Construction Services business in Canada, with a strong focus on environmental and remediation projects.
  • Provide executive leadership and operational oversight of project delivery, safety performance, financial results, and quality assurance.
  • Drive collaboration across business units and with other Arcadis regions to leverage global expertise and deliver consistent, high-value solutions to clients.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of safety, excellence, accountability, and inclusion.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with public and private sector clients, securing repeat business and identifying new market opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and client expectations across all projects and operations.
  • Collaborate with pursuit and proposal teams to position Arcadis for key project wins and framework agreements.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the environmental remediation construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or business management role.
  • Post-secondary degree in engineering, environmental sciences, construction management, or a related field; professional designation or certification (e.g., P.Eng., PMP) is an asset.

Other important experience for this role includes:

  • Demonstrated success leading and growing a construction-focused business or division within a consulting, engineering, or environmental services firm; Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the Canadian regulatory and market landscape for environmental construction, including remedial earthworks, civil infrastructure, and specialty construction.
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills, with a history of winning and delivering high-profile, complex projects.

The salary range for this position is $95,000-178,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
