Buyer

Responsibilities Summary
- Queries, issues and tracks PO
- Maintain and optimize the MRP provisioning system settings in MISys.
- Controls the inventory level of materials and production supplies
- Performs the relaunch with suppliers and ensure the delivery dates update
- Participates in the negotiation and compliance of annual agreements with suppliers
- Assists planning, quality, engineering, payables and other teams to solve their vendors issues
- Seek opportunities for cost reduction and inventory control
- Participates in various projects aimed at improving processes relating to the supply chain.
- Make all purchase (or rental) for computer electronic equipment, software licenses, hardware, furniture and office supplies (phones), etc.and track orders until receipt
- Any other related task
- DEC in administration, logistics, supply chain management and/or a combination of equivalent training and experience
- 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience in purchasing electronic components and equipment
- Demonstrated expertise in ERP
- Work rigorously and demonstrate strong teamwork skills
- Able to interact easily with employees of all departments
- Versatile, autonomous, with good judgement, rigor, organized and detailed oriented
- Leadership and strong ability to manage priorities
- Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, to ensure effective communication with our global suppliers
- Experience in a high-tech, telecommunications company (an asset)
- Mastering the computerized management system principles and knowledge of MISys (an asset)
