What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support employees and leaders across multiple provinces with expert guidance on medical leaves, accommodations, and WCB claims
  • Manage all aspects of employee leaves (STD, LTD, WCB, personal, and medical)—from documentation to return-to-work planning
  • Coordinate workplace accommodations in alignment with medical documentation and legislative requirements
  • Liaise with third-party providers (insurers, medical professionals, case managers) to ensure timely and smooth processes
  • Maintain detailed and compliant records for all leave and accommodation files
  • Advise managers on employment standards, human rights obligations, and duty to accommodate
  • Support broader HR initiatives, including policy updates, compliance audits, and employee wellness strategies
  • Contribute to other HR functions and projects as needed—because we're a team that flexes and grows together

We are looking for an "A Player" - that means...

  • Experience & Education: 3+ years of HR experience with a focus on accommodations, medical/WCB case management, and leave administration. A post-secondary HR diploma, degree, or certificate is required.
  • Organized: Able to manage sensitive files with a high degree of confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Empathetic & Professional: You balance compassion with compliance, and you're a trusted advisor to employees and leaders alike.
  • Flexible: Able to manage multiple priorities and occasionally support other HR functions as needed.
  • Solution-Oriented: Calm under pressure, proactive, and always looking for ways to streamline and improve processes.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (we use BambooHR).
  • Knowledgeable: Solid understanding of employment standards, human rights legislation, and WCB regulations across multiple provinces.
