We are looking for a Saskatchewan Land Surveyor to support our municipal survey operations in Regina.

Summary Of Responsibilities
Working under the direct supervision of the Office Manager, the Land Surveyor plans, organizes, and directs the work of one or more survey parties engaged in surveying, directs and controls land surveying services related to measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, or other purposes such as researching previous survey evidence, maps, physical evidence and other records to obtain data needed for surveys. This position also interacts directly with clients and is responsible for developing and promoting strong client relationships. Summary Of Responsibilities
Working under the direct supervision of the Office Manager, the Land Surveyor plans, organizes, and directs the work of one or more survey parties engaged in surveying, directs and controls land surveying services related to measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, or other purposes such as researching previous survey evidence, maps, physical evidence and other records to obtain data needed for surveys. This position also interacts directly with clients and is responsible for developing and promoting strong client relationships. The Land Surveyor performs duties, which include but are not limited to the following:
- Abides by the Land Surveyors code of ethics and professionalism; upholds legal responsibility for the work, to the public, government and survey profession.
- Manages all aspects of surveys projects including job costing, evaluation and invoicing procedures.
- Capable of managing any and all survey projects.
- Provides leadership in the way of professionalism, ethics, evidence evaluation, survey methodology, error identification, evaluation and removal.
- Determines methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey monumentation and develops insight into how improvements can be made on future endeavors.
- Coordinates findings with work of field crews, Geomatics Technicians, other Land Surveyors, office personnel, clients and others involved in the project.
- Maintains accurate notes, records and sketches to describe and certify work performed.
- Fosters excellent relationship with clients and business associates.
- Acts as a contact lead for the Company and Project Management for our clients.
- Participates in a leadership capacity on committees as well as office and company governance.
- Strives for excellence in development of survey products, as well as ways to improve on customer service and fair company profitability.
- Provides continuous interaction with clients on projects and maintains strong relationships with them.
- Follows all Midwest health and safety protocols and is committed to ongoing learning in this area.
- A Diploma or Degree in Geomatics Engineering, or equivalent.
- SLS commission (or a commission from another province)
- An articled pupil in Saskatchewan will be considered.
- At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Active and in good standing with Land Surveying Associations and other professional jurisdictions.
- Thoroughly familiar with all aspects of municipal development surveys.
- Experience with Project Management.
- Proven supervisory skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess a keenness to work in a high-volume team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
