As an Inside Sales Development Specialist, you’ll leverage a combination of warm marketing leads and diverse lead streams, giving you the tools to maximize your success and earning potential. In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to make a significant impact by collaborating closely with sales peers, operations, and marketing to ensure the success of our new customer acquisition efforts and affiliated customer-facing programs.
What you’ll be doing:
As an Inside Sales Development Specialist, you’ll leverage a combination of warm marketing leads and diverse lead streams, giving you the tools to maximize your success and earning potential. In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to make a significant impact by collaborating closely with sales peers, operations, and marketing to ensure the success of our new customer acquisition efforts and affiliated customer-facing programs.
What you’ll be doing:
- Conduct daily outbound calls to prospects or lapsed customers who haven’t placed an order with Quill in 4+ months, engaging or re-engaging them to rebuild relationships and drive sales.
- Utilize verbal offers, email promotions, and Quill internal tools to capture orders and reactivate customers to an active purchasing state.
- Identify opportunities to sell and qualify customers for programs, ensuring alignment with their needs and maximizing value.
- Route qualified leads and sales opportunities to appropriate team members based on established sales criteria to optimize results.
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly quotas and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM records, including activity logs, customer interactions, and pipeline status.
- Embrace a growth mindset by actively seeking feedback, applying coaching from managers and peers, and striving for continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with sales specialists and support teams to identify and drive revenue opportunities beyond traditional office supply categories.

- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years related experience in sales or service in business-to-business environment
- Knowledge of key Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- 1+ year of experience in sales or customer service within a business-to-business environment.
- Exceptional customer retention skills, demonstrating a customer-first mindset in every interaction.
