Senior Consultant – Cloud & Data Strategy (Business Analyst Expertise)

Position Description

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep experience in cloud adoption, data governance, and policy development to join our team. This role blends strategic analysis with hands-on delivery, supporting the development and execution of cloud and data strategies across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. In this role, you’ll work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define governance policies, and help drive enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with cloud architects and data teams to align cloud strategy with business objectives.
• Define and document cloud adoption frameworks, governance policies, and data management strategies.
• Support the development of policies and standards related to cloud usage, data protection, and compliance.
• Conduct gap analyses and provide recommendations for improving data governance and cloud maturity.
• Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and presentations with business units and executive leaders.
• Ensure business needs are met throughout the lifecycle of cloud and data initiatives.
  
  

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT, cloud, or data-related projects.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their business impact.
• Demonstrated experience in policy development and governance frameworks for cloud and/or data environments.
• Solid grasp of data governance, cloud strategy, and enterprise architecture principles.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams in enterprise or public sector environments.
• Exceptional communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience supporting cloud transformation or data modernization initiatives.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), AWS Cloud Practitioner, or Azure Fundamentals are an asset.
• Consulting or public sector experience is a strong plus
