What We Are Hiring

As a Restaurant Manager, you will be supporting the General Manager in overall restaurant operations, execution, management of staff, controllable profit plan achievement, guest count growth, and sales building activities. You will also be assisting in employee selection, retention, continuous operational improvement. You will be reporting to the General Manager while assisting with the supervision of approximately 15-20 crew members.

What You'll Do

  • You will prepare and interpret financial and operational reports, analyze data, and develop solutions to ensure operating goals are achieved
  • You will assist the General Manager by overseeing assigned shifts; monitors brand standards execution and adherence by directing hourly staff to achieve guest service standards in a clean and pleasant environment
  • You will develop and coach hourly employees on brand standards, internal policies and procedures, and other guest focused programs to exceed guest service standards.
  • You will work with the General Manager to attract, hire, onboard and retain the best hourly talent
  • You will work with the General Manager to develop hourly employees through corporate training programs, individual development plans, and system assignments.
  • You will help maintain compliance with Denny's Brand Standards, including all provincial, local and federal regulations
  • You will demonstrate a strong commitment to guest satisfaction and Denny's Core Values when interacting with others
  • You will perform other duties as required or assigned

Who You Are

  • You have 2+ years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry; leadership/operations experience strongly preferred
  • You are an effective communicator in English, both orally and in writing
  • You have the agility to interpret and analyse financial statements
  • You are a team player, collaborative and attentive
  • You have excellent guest service and people skills
  • You are self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively
  • You are licensed to operate an automobile without restrictions and have reliable transportation to meet banking obligations
  • You must be able to legally work in Canada (as a citizen, resident or holding other current and valid work permit)
