Head of Digital Marketing, Analytics and Marketing Technology is an executive leadership position that will drive the transformation and execution of our digital marketing technology, analytics capabilities and the creative design studio. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), the role will oversee a team of 175+ professionals globally, to deliver exceptional digital experiences, as well as non-digital creative experiences that drive business growth, customer engagement world-class operational excellence through automation, data-driven decision making, and strategic prioritization.
This is a new role that combines strategic leadership in marketing, digital marketing innovation, and creative design excellence to drive organizational success and brand growth.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $273,000 - $409,000.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $273,000 - $409,000.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.

- Building a streamlined, integrated team across digital, analytics, and design that maximizes the use of technology, AI, data and automation to meet our business needs
- Defining the vision and implementing AI and new technologies across the team
- Transforming and bringing best in class practices, and knowledge in tech, data and analytics to the team, and driving the use of AI across the team
- Key near-term successes of this role include defining future state technology and organization, identification of top priorities and plan to implement key priorities.
As Head of Digital Marketing, Analytics and Marketing Technology you will be responsible for:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital and technology strategy aligned with Thomson Reuters' business objectives and brand vision
- Drive digital marketing transformation initiatives across the organization, fostering innovation and adoption of emerging technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to ensure digital, analytic, and technology initiatives support broader business goals
- Serve as a key member of the marketing leadership team, contributing to overall marketing strategy and business planning
- Establish clear priorities and focus areas to maximize impact and resource utilization across all digital initiatives
- Lead all digital marketing channels including website, paid search, SEO, display advertising, and paid social media
- Oversee website strategy, user experience, content management, and optimization to drive engagement and conversion
- Develop and implement digital media strategies that effectively reach B2B target audiences and drive measurable results
- Establish best practices for digital campaign execution, measurement, and optimization
- Enhance audience targeting capabilities through advanced segmentation and personalization strategies
- Evolve a world-class marketing technology ecosystem that drives efficiency through automation and reduces manual processes
- Implement intelligent workflow solutions that streamline operations and improve team productivity
- Own the enterprise marketing technology stack, ensuring integration, optimization, and adoption across the organization
- Identify and implement new digital creative technologies to enhance brand storytelling and customer engagement
- Drive innovation in marketing technology capabilities to improve marketing effectiveness, efficiency, and personalization
- Establish governance frameworks for marketing technology selection, implementation, and utilization
- Lead marketing analytics and advanced analytics teams to derive actionable insights that directly support business objectives for customer, marketing and digital analytics
- Develop comprehensive measurement frameworks to evaluate marketing performance and ROI
- Create robust reporting systems that connect marketing activities to business outcomes
- Design and implement sophisticated data strategies that enhance customer understanding and targeting capabilities
- Champion a data-driven culture across the marketing organization, enabling informed decision-making
- Leverage predictive analytics to identify opportunities and optimize marketing investments
- Provide strategic direction for the design function, linking design with brand strategy, technology, and on-going brand transformation.
- Foster collaboration between design and digital teams to create cohesive, compelling customer experiences
- Oversee the development of design systems that enable consistent brand expression across channels
- Drive design innovation that differentiates Thomson Reuters in the marketplace, and enables our creative talent to use best in class technology
- Ensure design excellence through talent development, process optimization, and quality standards, and commitment to accessibility standards
- Integrate design thinking with data insights to create more effective customer experiences

To be considered for the Head of Digital Marketing, Analytics and Marketing Technology you will have:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, technology, and analytics leadership roles
- Proven track record of leading digital transformation initiatives in B2B SaaS environments
- Extensive experience managing websites, paid media channels, and marketing technology platforms
- Demonstrated expertise in leveraging data and analytics to drive business results
- Experience building automated marketing systems that reduce manual effort and improve efficiency
- Success in developing and implementing sophisticated audience targeting and data strategies
- Experience leading large, diverse teams across multiple functions
- B2B SaaS marketing experience is essential, with preference for experience in information services, professional services, or technology sectors
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, technologies, and best practices
- Strong knowledge of marketing technology platforms, integration approaches, and vendor management
- Expertise in data analytics, AI/ML technologies, measurement frameworks, performance optimization
- Strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into actionable plans
- Excellent prioritization skills with ability to focus resources on highest-impact initiatives
- Advanced knowledge of marketing automation systems and workflow optimization
- Expertise in developing data-driven targeting strategies for B2B audiences
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence at all levels
- Financial acumen with experience managing significant budgets

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field required, master’s degree (MBA or Marketing) preferred
