What You Will Be Doing
Responsible for driving sales culture and market share growth of the Contractor business within a defined geographic area. Ensures profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of Contractor Account Managers (CAM) and dedicated Inside Contractor Account Manager (ICAM) objectives, strategies and sales plans to improve short and long-term sales earnings.
SALES LEADERSHIP
Articulate company goals and work with account managers to set individual sales plans and budgets.
Joint sales calls to provide coaching and feedback to foster a culture of sales, retention, acquisition, and new business.
Understand pricing strategy and share market feedback with pricing team; support pricing activities as needed.
Maintain strong customer relationships through visits, events, and other channels.
Analyze business data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, then guide the sales team accordingly.
Support CAM and CIAM in key account sales and negotiations.
Collaborate on large projects, including review of T&C’s.
BUSINESS PLANNING & EXECUTION
Participate in annual budget development with Branch/Regional Managers aligned to company goals set by Sales Leadership.
Create a sales business plan to execute on budget and objectives to strengthen Gerrie’s market position.
Produce monthly sales forecasts to show regional performance and year-end impact; monitor key account management.
Present budget performance, market trends, customer activity, and sales plan updates to the Executive as required.
Support coordination and delivery of monthly sales meetings.
Identify and share new business opportunities with Sales Leadership; develop business plans for suitable targets.
SALES OPERATIONS
Engage regularly with Branch leadership on sales activities, feedback, and shared goals to ensure service levels and improve customer retention.
Participate in local branch events with customers, vendors, and employees.
Support and execute corporate marketing programs, encouraging team participation.
Promote and review Gerrie CRM, ensuring data quality and monthly funnel reviews with CAM and ICAM.
Use sales tools like Power BI to review and analyze performance and sales data.
Collaborate with all resource groups to maximize revenue from Gerrie’s products and services.
VENDOR RELATIONS
Build strong relationships with Gerrie’s key vendor partners and maintain support of Gerrie’s vendor alignments within team.
Participate in related vendor reviews.
TALENT MANAGEMENT
Responsible for resource management with Sales leadership, retaining top sales talent, and providing onboarding, training, and development opportunities for success.
Ongoing performance management and annual performance evaluations of Account Managers.
Review Account Manager call reports to ensure expectations and activities are completed.
Review and approve Account Manager expenses per company policies.
Other
Provide input on appropriate Contractor inventory levels, including new product additions and deletions based on customer feedback.
Promote weekly/monthly specials to drive new business.
Promote Gerrie Services through CAM/ICAMs and directly with customers.
Recommend incentive programs or campaigns to enhance market position.
Participate in product and sales training as required.
Participate in local industry groups (Electric League, IEEE, ISA, etc.) and events to build brand awareness and gain market insights.
