Summary Of Duties

We currently have a vacancy for a regular part-time 0.5 FTE Pharmacist 1 in the Holland Centre.

The Pharmacy duties can be broadly divided into three areas:

• Drug distribution
• Direct patient care
• Educational responsibilities
  
  

Responsibilities include physician order review; clarification and entry; supervision of drug dispensing; answering of drug-related questions; provision of pharmaceutical care; medication reconciliation; participation in multidisciplinary rounds; patient counseling; participation in the education of students and multidisciplinary staff; safety report initiation and follow-up.

Qualifications/Skills

• Current licensure by the Ontario College of Pharmacists
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Holland Centre Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Well organized and strong time management skills
