We are seeking Family Physicians to join the Coast Tsimshian Mobile Primary Care Team (MPCT). This is a unique opportunity to be part of a collaborative partnership between four Coastal First Nation communities, First Nations Health Authority and Northern Health. The communities served are Lax kw'alaams, Gitxaala, Gitga'at and Metlakatla.
The physician will be responsible for telehealth/virtual care as well as travelling to communities to provide in person care. The Coast Tsimshian MPCT is based out of Prince Rupert and will be connected to and supported by the Prince Rupert and Coast Tsimshian Primary Care Network (PCN) to deliver care that is comprehensive, responsive and as close to home as possible.
Video link/telehealth technology is enabled with access to consultation specialty services and linkage to other health professionals. The EMR platform and NH Cerner OS are used to strengthen care and connectivity to and from the communities and primary care and specialist support will be planned and coordinated to ensure you’re supported in your care delivery in remote communities.
Not only will you be able to deliver well-funded, well-supported holistic care in a multidisciplinary team context to a unique geographical area but also be a part of a unique opportunity for innovation, creativity and transformation rectifying inequities in health service delivery.
