In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Team Leader provides leadership, supervision, and clinical support, multidisciplinary Specialized Mental Health & Substance Use Services teams, and performs direct client care as required. The Team Leader takes a collaborative and team-based approach in program delivery and problem solving to achieve healthcare excellence. Such an approach involves nurturing a team environment of continuous learning, effective communication, trust, team building and staff acknowledgement.

The Team Leader works to deliver high quality, client focused programs across the continuum of community services and provides liaison to local agencies and other service providers. In collaboration with the Manager of Specialized Services, the Team Leader is also responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of clinical practice to ensure quality client care outcomes.

The Team Leader works collaboratively with Specialized Outreach Services in communities in which the specialized MHSU outreach services exist. As a means of maintaining working relationships with all teams, clients, and community partners, the Team Leader is required to travel between communities on a regular and frequent basis.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days, 08:30 to 17:00

Terrace The thriving community of Terrace is northern living at its best. Snow-capped mountains, pristine glacier-fed rivers, lakes, and streams all add to the beauty of this community. The main industries in Terrace are communications, transportation, and natural resources. The population is approximately 12,700. There are nine elementary schools, four secondary schools, and Northwest Community College and a UNBC campus. Check out Terrace where there is always something new to experience.
